Dr. Jessica Reale

PT, DPT, WCS
Founder And Board-Certified Specialist in Pelvic Health

Pelvic health is my passion. I began working with adults who have pelvic floor problems while completing my doctorate at Duke University. I still clearly remember one of the first patients I treated—a woman who was unable to have sex because of severe pain. She had been experiencing pain for more than 10 years, and had several relationships end because of her inability to participate in sex. I remember the day she came in and tearfully told me that she had been able to have sex with no pain for the first time in her life. Every time I recall this moment, I get goosebumps. It was then, in that moment, that I knew, I just had to treat this population.

My patients inspire and change me every day, as much, if not more than I hope I can affect them.

After graduating with my doctorate, I dedicated my career to working with people with pelvic health problems. I love how the urinary, GI and reproductive systems are so interconnected in the pelvis, and enjoy helping my patients navigate these interrelationships. As my passion for pelvic health grew, I became disheartened with the lack of knowledge so prevalent in the medical and rehabilitation world regarding pelvic health problems. For this reason, I began teaching other pelvic rehabilitation practitioners, and I am truly honored to have taught thousands of colleagues through their journeys in pelvic health over the past several years.

Patient care, however, continues to be the foundation that drives everything I do. My patients inspire and change me every day, as much, if not more than I hope I can affect them. I am thankful every day to be in this incredible specialty and partner alongside my patients to help them overcome the often private problems they are facing.

“I have been treated for my pelvic health by Jessica and her team since she started Southern Pelvic Health. I have had 4 babies and through each one of them I have received the best care and guidance I could have ever asked for! The steps for my specific issues have worked over the year to strengthen my pelvic floor. Jessica and her team truly care and have always been there for me to talk things over and to reassure me. Love this team!! Could not recommend them more!”
